Wavestock is operated by Nuvela Group LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. This page explains, in plain terms, what personal information we collect when you browse or buy from us, why we collect it, and what say you have over it. By using wavestock.us, you're agreeing to the practices described below.
Who's Responsible for Your Data
Nuvela Group LLC, trading as Wavestock, is the business that decides how and why your personal data gets used. You can reach us at support@wavestock.us or +1 (857) 355-6257, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, or by mail at 265 Franklin St, Suite 1702, Boston, MA 02110. Any question about how your data is handled can start with one of those three.
What We Actually Collect
When you create an account, browse the site, or place an order, we pick up a handful of different data types: your name, email, phone number, and shipping/billing address; order details like what you bought, when, and for how much (we never see or store your full card number — that's handled directly by our payment processor); technical bits like your IP address, browser, and device type; anything you type into a support email or contact form; and whether you've opted in or out of marketing messages. We don't go looking for sensitive categories of data — health records, biometrics, religious or political affiliations — and don't ask for any of that.
How It Ends Up With Us
Most of what we collect comes straight from you — filling out a form, checking out, or emailing our support team. The rest is gathered automatically through cookies and similar tools as you move through the site, or passed along by the vendors that help us run the store (our payment processor, shipping carriers, and similar partners).
Why We Collect It
The core reason is simple: to get your order to you and keep you updated along the way. Beyond that, we use your information to run your account, answer support questions, send marketing emails if you've opted in (unsubscribe anytime, no questions asked), watch for fraudulent activity, understand how people use the site so we can improve it, and meet whatever legal or tax obligations apply to us. We don't run automated systems that make significant decisions about you without a person involved.
Who Else Sees It
We don't sell your personal information, full stop. That said, a small number of trusted partners need certain pieces of it to make the store function: Shopify, which hosts our site and processes payments; the shipping carriers who deliver to addresses across the US and Canada; email tools that send order confirmations and (if you've opted in) marketing; and analytics or advertising platforms that typically only see anonymized or hashed data. If a court or government agency has a legal right to information, we'll comply with that too.
Our Relationship With Shopify
We run our store on Shopify's platform, which means anything you submit through checkout also passes through Shopify's systems, including servers that may sit outside your home country. Shopify has its own privacy practices governing that data, which you can read about directly on their site if you're curious.
Cookies and Similar Tools
Like most online stores, we use cookies to keep items in your cart, remember preferences, and get a sense of how the site is used. You're free to adjust or block these through your browser settings, though some features may not work as smoothly if you do.
If You're Under 18
Our store isn't built for children, and we don't knowingly gather personal information from anyone underage. If you think a child has shared information with us, reach out and we'll remove it.
How Long We Hold On to It
We don't keep your information forever. Order and payment records stick around for as long as tax and financial regulations require, account details last as long as your account is open, and anything tied to marketing preferences is deleted or anonymized once you unsubscribe or ask us to.
What You Can Do About It
Wherever you're located, you generally have the right to see what we have on file about you, correct anything that's wrong, ask us to delete it, or pull back consent for marketing. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply — for instance, if you're a California resident, you can ask what categories of data we've collected and opt out of having it shared for advertising purposes by visiting our data-sharing opt-out page or emailing us directly. To act on any of this, just email support@wavestock.us — we typically respond within 30 days, and may ask you to verify your identity first.
Keeping Things Secure
We rely on encrypted connections and Shopify's PCI-compliant checkout infrastructure to protect your data in transit, and we limit internal access to only the people who need it to do their jobs. Nothing online is completely risk-free, though, so if anything about your experience with us ever feels off, let us know right away.
If This Policy Changes
We may revise this page from time to time as our practices or legal obligations evolve. Whenever that happens, we'll update the date at the top — continuing to use the site afterward means you're fine with the update.
